Students & Mentors

In Spring 2025, you can apply to participate in Studio Lab for the 2025-2026 academic year.

  • Students can now for the 2025-2026 academic year
  • Applications will be due on Friday, April 4, 2025
  • Decisions will be announced by the end of the semester

Mentors can now . We appreciate receiving mentor proposals by Friday, April 4th, but will accept project proposals on a rolling basis.

Eligible mentors include any faculty in the College of Arts & Sciences and faculty & researchers affiliated with the Institute of Behavioral Science. Ph.D. candidates at the dissertation stage in the College of Arts & Sciences are eligible to apply, but must also be nominated by their primary advisor using the same mentor application form.

Why should I apply?

For students, this is an excellent opportunity to work with mentors in the College of Arts & Sciences on a wide range of projects. We also hold social events, educational events, and a big end of year poster session extravaganza where you present about your Studio Lab project.

For faculty, this is a chance to work with AMAZING students at no cost to you. Studio Lab covers the cost of an honorarium that participating students receive each semester.

Questions? Email the Studio Lab director,  Dr. Sarah Wilson Sokhey (sarah.sokhey@colorado.edu).
